Maples & sugar maples:
Crimson King Maple

Dense, rounded form with a compact crown. One of the most vigorous of the red-leaf varieties, it remains relatively slow-growing while developing a thick canopy that provides substantial, year-round shade.
Green Mountain Sugar Maple

VVery vigorous grower. Leaves are approximately twice as thick as those of typical maples, so it tolerates drier sites. Prefers well-drained soil that retains some moisture. Excellent choice for landscaping.
